Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing that treats the whole person, body, mind and spirit. The goal is to restore balance, like tending a garden. The practitioner looks to treat the underlying pattern of disharmony, not just alleviate symptoms. That being said, most people come to my office with a complaint or a symptom. Acupuncture is well known for treating pain, and is effective with arthritis, women’s health concerns, anxiety, depression, insomnia, infertility, post-operative pain, injuries, addictions, nightmares, fatigue, digestive problems and chronic illness. Acupuncture can also be helpful with difficulties that are the effect of mental and emotional conflicts within a person's life and from the stresses of living in these challenging times. But just as noteworthy, patients experience renewed energy and resilience. A sense of inner calm, groundedness and access to joy often accompany treatment and are one reason why I delight in this work. Acupuncture deeply nourishes in unanticipated ways.

I am happy to meet with you in my office or speak with you on the phone to answer any questions you may have as you consider whether acupuncture may be a suitable option for you. I have been serving the Midcoast community for 37 years. I am committed to quality care, and being a good and steady listener.
